Welcome to my site.  My name is Mary Rizzi.  I am a tech coach in Beaufort County, South Carolina.  The Web 2.0 Tool I selected is emaze.  This is a website that allows the user to create presentations with some animations.  I usually describe it to staff as being the outcome if Prezi and PowerPoint had a baby.  It moves just enough to engage the audience, much less movement than Prezi, though, and it is more eye catching and fun than a traditional PowerPoint can be.

This website allows for the creation of five emazes with the free account.  Photo albums, websites, and e cards are also available through emaze.  The presentation tool is the chosen option for this assignment.  Once logged into the site, the user can click on presentation and view different templates before deciding on one.  This helps to make sure that the slide presentation is something that best fits the topic.  Also, different slides are already available for use, making the addition of images, videos, charts, or graphs easy.  Just click on the edit button to begin creation of the presentation.

Slides are very easy to make; the layout is similar to a PowerPoint.  I recommend to staff and students, once I have given them a basic demonstration, that they play around with the site to see how it works.  The site will save work automatically, but there is a save option, as well.  When the presentation is complete, the user can click on the share option and send the link to staff or students.  This link can also be uploaded to Google Classroom, so that the project can be turned in for a class.

I created this page to fulfill an assignment for my EDET 703 class.  I used the assignment, however, as a way to create a training manual for the staff in my district.  It serves an added purpose of showing teachers how to create a class in USA TestPrep.  Click here to visit to the emaze site.
